Voluntary Norfolk’s Young Carers Employment and Transitions Service is helping transform the future of young carers by supporting them get into work. The service works with young carers aged 15-18 from across Norfolk.

Personalised employment support for young carers

Working alongside our Employment and Transitions Adviser, young carers develop a detailed action plan to help them achieve their goals. We have open discussions with young carers to make sure that we set realistic targets. During the process we track their progress step by step.

How we can help:

  • CV Writing – Crafting a strong CV to showcase young carers’ skills and experience.
  • Job Applications – Help with finding and applying for jobs.
  • Interview Skills – Practice and preparing for interviews.
  • Training Opportunities – Advice how to access courses to learn new skills
  • Accessing Young Carers Support Groups
