Community Support Service – Our Community Support Volunteer Service provides vital short-term support for people who have just left hospital or need a bit of extra help at home. Volunteers might collect prescriptions or walk the dog, do some shopping (going to the shops or online) or help with light household tasks, such as washing up or hanging out the washing, or they could help someone get out to a local community group. HTG Patient Transport – recruits volunteers who use their own cars to provide door to door transport for those unable to travel via other means to essential medical appointments within East Anglia, and sometimes further afield. Norfolk Community Health & Care NHS Trust (NCH&C) – recruits volunteers who are 16 years of age or older to support clinical and administration teams within NCH&C locations across Norfolk or remotely from home. By undertaking non-clinical support tasks, our volunteers enable clinical staff to focus on the activities only they can complete and provide much needed additional care, friendship, advice and support to patients, their families and carers. East Coast Community Healthcare CIC (ECCH) – recruits volunteers who support clinical and administration services within ECCH’s various locations across Norfolk and Suffolk. By undertaking non-clinical tasks, our volunteers enable clinical staff to focus on the activities only they can complete and provide much needed additional time, care, friendship, advice and support to patients, their families and carers.
