Their donations helped bring some festive cheer to individuals and families across Great Yarmouth and beyond.

Voluntary Norfolk worked to spread some Christmas joy by delivering hampers filled with food, treats, and small gifts to people who needed a little extra festive spirit. Thanks to the kindness of local donors, over [number] hampers were handed out, making a real difference to people’s Christmas.

Coming Together as a Community

Their support helped the appeal reach even more people in need of some Christmas cheer.

John McBride who organised the appeal as part of Voluntary Norfolk’s Better Together service, said:
“The generosity from local businesses, groups, and individuals has been amazing. Thanks to them, we were able to brighten people’s Christmas and show them they were thought of. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped.”

A Big Thank You

John McBride said: “I was delighted by how successful the appeal was again and the smiles on people’s faces when they received their hamper was really heartwarming. However, it is a shame that so many people are struggling with issues like loneliness across Norfolk. That’s why it is absolutely essential that as a society we ensure no-one is left isolated in their community. That’s why the work we do at Voluntary Norfolk is so important. Looking ahead to 2025, Voluntary Norfolk will continue to work with local businesses, organisations, and volunteers to bring people together and make Norfolk an even more caring community.”
